Purpose of the course To prepare young scientists for the present and for the future of science.
Intended learning outcomes After the completed course, the participants will be able to describe and discuss the strengths of Nordic research in health sciences, and integrate them into their own research or research plans. The participants will be able to describe the role of research in the Nordic societal setting, and how research can benefit society. The participants can describe different pathways in innovation and entrepreneurial collaboration.
Contents of the course Strengths in Nordic research in Health Sciences. Interdisciplinary research in Health Sciences. Innovation and entrepreneurial collaboration. Publishing and disseminating Health Science. Career options in Health Sciences.
Teaching and learning activities Lectures, discussions, preparation of interdisciplinary poster, poster presentation and poster discussion.
Compulsory elements Participation in the preparation of interdisciplinary poster, poster presentation and poster discussion are mandatory. Compensation is according to the instructions of the course director.
Examination The students are examined on the basis of their interdisciplinary posters, poster presentations and discussions.
