Purpose of the course
Intended learning outcomes -- communicate own research well adjusted to different contexts by using various means of communication
-- based on theories of communication and learning assess the quality of peers' communication of own research and give constructive feedback accordingly
-- articulate considerations on philosophy of science and research ethics in relation to the own research project
-- be able to perform basic summaries, analyses and presentation of data, as well as have enhanced their ability to recognize, understand and critically view the statistics being presented in medical articles

Oral communication techniques 3 hp
Basic statistics 3 hp
Teaching and learning activities The pedagogic framing is based on student activity with interactive lectures, seminars and work-shops. The scheduled face-to-face activities in the course will be mixed with individual work and feedback from teachers and peers via the web based platform PingPong.
Compulsory elements Assignments, seminar and group activities. Absence from seminar and group activities can be compensated by self studies and written assignments.
Examination The knowledge, skills and attitudes acquired in the course will be assessed through written assignments and oral presentations.
