| Intended learning outcomes | Have a good understanding of linear and logistic regression. Have a good understanding of survival analysis in general and Cox and Poisson regression in particular. Be able to handle epidemiological data sets, categorize variables, perform relevant statistical tests, perform relevant regression analyses, build statistical multivariable models and present and interpret analyses results. |
| Contents of the course | The course is offered as part of the KI / SLL research school for clinicians in epidemiology. The statistical topics are introduced during lectures, and understanding of the concepts is trained through computer-aided exercises using statistical software. One week is dedicated to linear and logistic regression. One week is dedicated to survival analysis. Two weeks are dedicated to more in depth teaching and training of regression analyses, statistical tests and statistical model building. |
